By high school he was more interested in sports, playing football and breaking the school record in the 50 Freestyle swim, but still had lead roles in. In fourth grade he toured with the Florida Singing Songs Boy Choir.

George started early with a stint on Romper Room at age 5 and played the title role in Dr. Newberry will also host the “Pork in the Park” Festival on Saturday, April 21st, which is the same weekend of the SummerFun Tour event. The final day to reserve a room is April 6th. The Hampton Inn is located in the center of town, adjacent to the Opera House, and the Pork in the Park festivities. When you call, ask for the “SummerFun 2018” rate, regular rooms are $114 per night, suites are $139. The room block for the host hotel in Newberry has been set, because of the festival that weekend, we only have 20 rooms available. It always helps us when you get your entry in early, and not wait until the last minute, so it’s time to start thinking about it. We are ready to start working on the 2018 season, which is the 10th year anniversary of the Horseshoe Tour, and the Newberry, SC SummerFun event, on April 21-22, will be our 50th tournament since we began back in 2009.
